Two Catalan farmhouses on 13 hectares list near Girona, Spain

Two traditional Catalan farmhouses stand among 13 hectares of woodland in the hills outside Girona, with a swimming pool overlooking the surrounding valley.

The estate lies near Canet d’Adri, around 14 kilometres from Girona, and is listed with Masvell House for €1.275 million.

The larger of the two farmhouses measures approximately 500 square metres and has been partially renovated, retaining its stone walls and timber structure. A spacious living room has a wood-burning stove and opens onto a covered terrace facing the mountains. Much of the remaining interior is unfinished.

A second house of approximately 240 square metres was renovated around 25 years ago. Exposed timber ceilings and stone walls feature throughout, with a 70sqm covered porch and a bedroom opening onto its own terrace.

Around two hectares of the estate comprise gardens, meadows and terraces, planted with mature trees and Mediterranean vegetation. A small pond lies among the greenery, and the property has direct access to a stream.

The 114sqm swimming pool occupies a clearing overlooking the wooded hills, with a covered outdoor kitchen nearby. From certain parts of the estate, views extend as far as the sea.
