After nearly 30 years, the Beatles’ London HQ hits the market
The Knightsbridge townhouse that housed the Beatles-established Apple Corps since the 1990s is on the market. The company is preparing to move on from its longstanding headquarters at 27 Ovington Square in London.
Founded by the band in 1968, Apple Corps is preparing a return to Mayfair, where it was previously based at 3 Savile Row. It was on the roof of that building that the Beatles gave their final public performance in January 1969.
The company’s current Grade II-listed Victorian townhouse stands on one of Knightsbridge’s garden squares, its stucco façade punctuated by tall sash windows and decorative balconies. Inside, the building extends across six floors, with 3,989 square feet of accommodation, double-height spaces and surviving period details.
The lower four levels have been used as offices, while the third and fourth floors retain residential use. A passenger lift connects the floors, and the building overlooks the square’s private gardens.
