A wall of glass separates the living room from the garden of this 1970s apartment in Paris’s 19th arrondissement.

Architects Brunet Lecomte Eisenlohr completely remodelled the apartment in 2024, retaining sections of its original reinforced-concrete structure. Running east to west, the 67sqm Carrez interior brings the living room, dining area and kitchen together in one open space.

Large windows run along the garden side, with a long timber banquette positioned beneath them. The architects drew on shakkei, the Japanese idea of borrowed scenery, with the garden filling the windows behind the seating.

The original concrete remains exposed around some of the openings between rooms. Painted oak floors run through the apartment, and the long kitchen combines oak with stainless steel. The bedroom faces east and has a custom dressing room.

The apartment is in the Jourdain neighbourhood and comes with parking. Archik is asking €790,000.
