Athens Olympic Sports Complex in Athens, Greece

// Athens Olympic Sports Complex // I had been wanting to see this place for a long time. After finishing work one day last summer, I finally took that 2-hour trip across the city and Calatrava's redesign of the Olympic Sports Complex (2004) did not disappoint. While it had actually fallen into some state of disrepair after die Olympic Games, it was far from an abandoned ghost complex. A lot of people were cycling, skating and running there or just enjoying the evening sun surrounded by a futuristic landscape. I thought that the modern Agora composed of 100 steel arches was particularly impressive. ? Pisellino restaurant in New York, USA

Dedicated to the Italian art of drinking, Bar Pisellino serves espresso and aperitivi alongside bomboloni alla crema and other delicious delights listed in hand-lettered booklets published six times a year. Try their signature Pistachio Cocktail. It blends pistachio-green-cardamom orgeat with gin, Alpine herbal liqueur genepy, bitters, and lime juice. It’s rich & exquisite. Special thanks to Jessica and the rest of the bar staff for their warm hospitality! #Italian #cocktails #espresso #bar #barpisellino #nyc ☕️

The Eastern DC Cafe in Washington, USA

Not that I needed another reminder but here is a new wine bar opening in the city. If like me you cannot stand the awful sight of wine trapped in a bottle, make sure to do your part this summer and rescue wine whenever and however you can. Save the day! . #theotherdc
