Every time I go to Paris, I find something new to see, like this Nissim de Camondo house-museum of French decorative arts. This mansion is maintained as if it were still a private home preserved in its original condition. It belonged to a banker and is named after his son who was killed in World War I. I couldn’t choose just one photo to share with you and of course I had to start with a library?

[ad – invite] I had the greatest pleasure of dining at @pierregagnaire’s 2 Michelin star restaurant in @sketchlondon, headed by chef @johannes_nuding. To celebrate the history of this gorgeous private dining space named after the suffragist Millicent Fawcett who once gave a speech here, I’ve gathered some of my favourite women on Instagram to share this very special moment with. The menu was absolutely sensational and the service was impeccable – what an unforgettable gastronomic experience. . The highlights of our menu include sustainable bluefin tuna and seabream, chestnut velouté with black truffle, guinea fowl fillets with gingerbread butter under the skin, and finally pink pavlova. . The Queen’s College Library, Oxford, UK

The Upper Library at Queen's. (I posted a similar pic a while ago but this one is definitely better!). This part of the library was built between 1682 and 1695, & apparently for ages was only for use by fellows, and as late as 1900 was only open to undergraduates for half an hour a day? can you imagine the stress! Such a nice place to work now tho, even if the old dusty books do make me sneeze sometimes ??
