HEADQUARTERS INTERIOR Look at the picture No1 – almost like something of the Star Wars esthetics, even the materiality is different. This is the upper floor hall with the skylights. Next pics show the staircase and groundfloor hall which looks different – more fragmented (the pillars) and, let's say, – more organic – not so centrally-symmetrical. The pillars and walls at the ground floor have travertine finishing. The building (1968–1974, architect #HenrikasŠilgalis) was the kolkhoz headquarters + culture house (which means – a bigger assembly hall – it was used to have such a combination) initially but nowadays, after all the socio-economic changes, – the largest part of it is used as the elementary school while a small corner is left to the parish administration. #kolkhoz #1970s #iinterior #interiorarchitecture #sovietmodernism #modernistarchitecture #vintageinteriors #sovietvintage #thespacesilike More of kolkhoz headquarters from Latvia – see #kolhozakantoris IEKŠTELPA Lielā halle otrajā stāvā (1. bilde) – tajā var sajust kaut ko no Zvaigžņu karu estētikas, lai arī materiāli citi. Taču simetrija, formas, arī virsgaismas… Aiz margām – gan telpas centrā, gan stūros ir atvērumi uz pirmo stāvu. Pirmais stāvs ir citādāks – nav tā plašuma, telpu sadala stabi, savukārt atvērumi uz augstāvu piešķir atškirīgas noskaņas telpas stūriem. Stabu un sienu apdarei ir izmantots šunakmens, kura apstrāde arī bijusi viena no kolhoza palīgnozarēm, – vēl tagad lidlauka malā atrodami šūnakmeņu krāvumi. Ēka (celta 1968–1974, arhitekts #HenrikasŠilgalis) tika būvēta kā kolhoza kantoris un kultūras nams, taču mūsdienās lielāko daļu aizņem skola (Šķibes pamatskola), bet vienā stūrī izvietojusies arī pagasta administrācijā. Kolhoza laikā turpat blakus tika sākts būvēt arī vidusskolu, tācu – netika pabeigts un netapušās skolas drupas nesenos laikos nolīdzinātas.
