A metal portal revealed the gangway of a spaceship for Prada’s otherworldly FW22 menswear show at Fondazione Prada – a playful evocation of Stanley Kubrick’s cult Movie 2001: A Space Odyssey.

OMA’s think-tank AMO designed the theatrical sci-fi set, which features a strip-lit runway illuminated in shades of neon blue, purple, pink, and white.

Twin Peaks alumni Kyle Mclaughlan opened with a denim-blue nylon boilersuit and printed turtleneck, with a navy wool overcoat. Actor Jeff Goldblum also made his catwalk debut, followed by actors Asa Butterfield, Ashton Sanders, Tom Mercier, Damson Idris, and Thomas Brodie-Sangster, strutting the runway in a wool overcoat with OTT fur trip.
