Remember the chase scene in the opening of Hitchcock thriller Vertigo? That rooftop and the three-bedroom apartment below are now on sale for $2.198 million.

Built in 1908, the top-storey property sits among a row of Edwardian structures on Taylor Street in San Francisco’s Nob Hill area. It was recently remodelled by KAG Designs, which retained the home’s period finishes, including its wide mouldings and latticed bay windows.

Owners of the property will also have private access to the roof terrace, although we’d discourage re-enacting the opening of the 1958 film…

The Taylor Street home is available via realtor Pattie Lawton. In the meantime, remind yourself of the famous scene from Vertigo.
