The Eiffel Tower turned gold, and light beams illuminated the sky above Paris for Saint Laurent’s dramatic SS20 show last night.

Bureau Betak designed the outside stage for Anthony Vaccarello’s show, taking things back to basics. Models walked down a runway lined with over 100 powerful spotlights, with pillars of white light directed upwards towards the heaven in a light show reminiscent of a rock show.

Viewers weren’t just limited to the usual celebrity A-listers: tourists and residents gathered along the grassy bank opposite to watch the show. Designs include micro-shorts, cowboy boots, gold paisley embroidered dresses, lame skirts and chiffon blouses.

And not even a torrential downpour could dull the spectacle, which culminated with Naomi Campbell wearing a full sequined tuxedo suit.
