BMW’s Designworks team and The North Face have collaborated on a new lightweight camper concept that protects its inhabitants from extreme weather.

On display at CES 2019 in Las Vegas as a VR experience, the BMW FUTURELIGHT camper uses the fashion brand’s Futurelight fabric for its outer shell. Nano-sized holes let air move through the material, providing ventilation while maintaining a waterproof layer for the towable trailer.

The minimalist camper’s domed structure is inspired by the 2008 BMW Gina Light Visionary Model concept car and is equipped with a bed and internal shelf for life on the road.
