We’re used to images of nature reclaiming abandoned buildings – but artists Filthy Luker and Pedro Estrellas have put a playful twist on this concept. They’ve erected a giant sea monster that appears to burst through an abandoned warehouse in Philadelphia’s Navy Yard.

‘Sea Monsters HERE’ was created in collaboration with local anonymous artist collective, Group X, and sees 20 enormous 40-ft-long tentacles ‘punching’ through the derelict 1942 warehouse’s steel skin and windows.

The whimsical installation is in situ at Building 611 until 13 November.
