French ready-to-wear fashion label A.P.C. has launched its first pop-up coffee shop beneath the arcades of Paris’s Palais Royal, and it’s a minimalist affair, from décor through to menu.

Café A.P.C has taken over Galerie Joyce until 31 January 2020, and décor follows the ethos of the brand’s Moka coffee blend, used in all of its beverages.

‘Having a choice makes you worry,’ said A.P.C. founder and creative director Jean Touitou. ‘Not having one creates a kind of peace of mind. I like to trust others, and I would like others to trust us for the choice of this coffee origin.’

Like the menu, interiors of the coffee shop are stripped back. The gallery’s white walls are paired with a natural woven carpet that creates a calming atmosphere, furnished with wicker furniture. Pale wooden shelving also displays a specially-conceived capsule edit by the fashion brand which is for sale.
