Richelieu Library in Paris, France

Libraries seldom turn up on a tourist agenda, but in Paris they are as impressive as the contents they store. Last year, I was able to score a private tour of Bibliothèque Sainte Geneviève, designed by famous Parisian architect Henri Labrouste. It’s easily one of the most stunning libraries in France but open only to students and researchers. On my most recent trip, I visited Labrouste’s other reading room at Bibliothèque Richelieu, and wasn’t so lucky. Call it the 2020 effect, but at least the views from the gate, warning you not to enter, are this gorgeous.

An entrance hall in Cluj-Napoca, Romania

Last day of lockdown in Romania ?? My thoughts go to those who’ve struggled in the past two months, who’ve lost their loved ones, their jobs. To those who’ve fought on the front lines, risking their lives for all of us ❤️ While it may seem like a return to normal, please bear in mind this battle is not over yet. Please stay cautious! ?
