March 2016 – Another gorgeous reading room in the Ervin Szabó Library. Reading has been a particular solace lately – I’m sure for most of us. Two days ago, I walked by my daughter’s room and overheard her quietly reading “The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse” (by @charliemackesy) to her friend on FaceTime so she could share the artwork and the words. She’s been reading it to each family member individually the last week – in her most comforting voice (honestly it’s the most sincere thing I’ve ever seen). I eavesdropped for a minute, but was afraid she’d hear the sound of my jaded heart melting. #prettybookplaces #librariesofinstagram #budapesthungary

Nakagin Capsule Tower, Tokyo, Japan

The capsule building. Each one of these capsules is one self-contained tiny furnished apartment. Elegant and beautiful design concept to other architects, the tower turned out to be almost unbearable to its inhabitants because of the tiny and cramped apartments they were living in.
