Loose Reins ‘glamping’ ranch has hit the market for £1.25m in Dorset – and it comes with a cluster of cedar cabins and canvas lodges.

Modelled on a Wild West-style pioneer’s ranch, the award-winning equestrian retreat is set within 13.3 acres in the West Country’s Blackmore Vale.

Loose Reins comprises three rustic cedar cabins – sleeping up to four people and currently renting from £103 per night – that are kitted out with a cosy woodturning stove, covered porch, bathroom and kitchen.

There are also three ‘pioneer lodges’ that can sleep six people across three bedrooms (each has a mix of king size and single beds). The lodges have viewing platforms and decks for al fresco dining, and rustic wood-panelled interiors.

Savills is handling the sale of the commercial property, which includes paddocks and a barn with 11 stables. Riders can explore trails through meadows and forest and up to the Shillingstone Hill, with views of the Purbeck.

Loose Reins scooped Gold at the Dorset Tourist Awards in November.
