What do you get it you tip a bus on its side and fill it with water?

Benedetto Bufalino created a public swimming pool out of an old Tadeo model bus in northern France’s Artois by doing just this. The Lyon-based artist – who specialises in ‘hacking’ cars and objects – removed the vehicle’s side panels as well as its seats and interiors before fitting the cab for its new role.

The brightly coloured swimming pool measures 9 metres long and can fit up to 10 people at a time. A staircase at the back of the vehicle helps people into the water, and there’s even a lifeguard platform for keeping swimmers safe.
