As if its bright blue palette wasn’t enough, the sculptural Louis Kahn-inspired bed helps ensure this is one of Moscow’s more quirky rentals.

The interiors were overseen by Crosby Studios founder Harry Nuriev, who says he was given carte blanche over the 57 sq m apartment. He’s put his love of strong, bright colours to powerful effect here, adding liberal amounts of rich blue to contrast the concrete walls and parquet flooring.

It’s not just about the palette, however. From the cut-out circles of the bed, guests can admire the broken Gzhel tiles that clad the kitchen, and look up to find a chandelier fringed, improbably, with blue biros.

The Moscow apartment is only available to rent for short stays via Airbnb (priced at $322 per night), and for meetings, but Nuriev has hinted that it’s a testing ground for a possible Crosby Studios hotel – watch this space.
