Dior set up shop at Paris’ Musée Rodin for its SS20 Haute Couture show, teaming up with legendary feminist artist Judy Chicago to install an inflatable goddess tent in the gallery’s courtyard.

Creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri invited Chicago to design the set, which draws on a goddess sculpture Chicago initially developed in the 1970s but never produced. Set designers Bureau Betak helped realise the project, which will open to the public following the presentation, until 26 January 2020.

As well as the colossal tent structure, the installation – entitled The Female Divine – features 21 hand-made banners illustrated with quotes questioning gender roles, and a table furnished with plates designed by Chicago for Dior Maison.
