If you think trampolines are just for kids, think again: Canada just welcomed the largest outdoor trampoline park in North America, offering dizzying aerial views and treetop trampolining.

Uplå is the brainchild of The Trekking Group – the folks behind Treetop Trekking – and opened on 23 June 2023 in Stouffville, around 50 km north of downtown Toronto. The aerial forest experience sees nets strung high above the forest floor between trees, encouraging visitors to reconnect with nature in an exhilarating fashion. They can bounce across nine colourful trampoline surfaces connected by webbed pathways, tunnels and a unique spiral entrance.

The specially engineered treetop architecture offers visitors the ‘sensation of weightlessness’ as they bounce between the trees, taking in views of the surrounding forest and the Bruce’s Mill Conservation Park (a 108-hectare nature reserve that’s home to a 19th-century mill and mill keeper’s cottage, as well as hiking and BMXing trails, wetlands and forest.)

The first Uplå location opened in Québec’s Mont Saint Grégoire in 2022 and attracted over 100,000 guests and is described as a ‘floating tree-lined universe made up of nets’. Stouffville hopes to build on that success, encouraging visitors, young and old, to bounce among the trees.
