This 18th-century mill outside of Grasse, in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur has been converted into a 12-bedroom boutique B&B – now for sale as a life-changing commercial venture.

Per Jansson is both marketing the historic complex for €2.75m. It sits on a 1.2-acre plot adjacent to the river and an underground spring, once used to turn its stone wheels and grind olives into a paste. Remnants of the mill’s working life are found across the renovated 12-bedroom French property, especially in the kitchen where the old presses are the centrepiece and rugged timber beams cross the ceilings.

A cosy living room is tucked in a brick vault, and there are lots of intriguing spaces to explore across the 7,535 sq ft French Riviera complex. This includes a number of outbuildings (a workshop and garage) and two swimming pools surrounded by olive trees and patios.
