Musician Zebra Katz investigates an abandoned hotel in Palanga, Lithuania in the video for ‘MOOR’ – the third single from his debut album LESS IS MOOR

The multi-disciplinary artist and musician spits over an industrial hip-hop beat from Walter Gross and Sega Bodega in the video, which sees him exploring Villa Auska’s empty rooms – only to discover a doppelganger has gotten there first.

Villa Auska sits 262 feet from the sandy Palanga beach and is surrounded by dense woodland. Falling under the Soviet branch of modernism, the Lithuanian hotel was completed in 1979 by architect J Šipalis and features a heated swimming pool filled with saltwater from the nearby Baltic Sea – the only pool of its kind in the country.

While it looks abandoned in ‘MOOR’, the film location is a fully operational hotel and offers a snapshot of Soviet modernism at its lavish peak.

‘MOOR’ follows the short film LOUSY / IN IN IN and the video for ‘ISH’.

LESS IS MOOR, which features appearances from Shygirl and S. Ruston, as well as production from Sega Bodega, Tony Quattro and Torus, is out now via The Vinyl Factory.
