As Coronavirus continues its rapid spread around the world, the Japanese fashion world has opted to host its upcoming Rakuten Fashion Week Tokyo entirely online.

The event, which kickstarted today, will be live-streamed on the platform’s official website without any audiences in attendance – that means no editors, celebrity influencers or buyers. The move comes as the public is being advised to self-quarantine and observe social distancing to help curb the spread of the infectious virus.
