A faded pink bastide above Cassis is waiting to be restored

Close to the port, the house has a 1,779sqm Mediterranean garden

A rose-hued bastide dating to the 18th century stands above the vineyards of Cassis, with views reaching towards Cap Canaille and the Couronne de Charlemagne in the south of France. The 227sqm house is a short distance from the port, surrounded by a 1,779sqm Mediterranean garden. Its pink façade is lined with tall windows and blue-grey shutters. Alongside it, a terrace edged by a historic balustrade looks directly across the vines.

The house is listed by Archik at €2.79m, and is being sold for renovation. Its reception rooms occupy the ground floor, with a living room, dining room and separate kitchen opening to the garden. Upstairs are five bedrooms, a bathroom and a second shower room, with vineyard views from the bedrooms.

There is no swimming pool at present, although the garden has been identified as having space for one.
