When it comes to waterfront cities, it is hard to beat Copenhagen, which boasts vibrant canal-side districts, islands and harbour water that’s clean enough for residents to swim in. This houseboat, moored at the south of Copenhagen’s harbour, fosters an even deeper connection to the water – and it could be yours for 6.2m DKK.

Named Eva and built in 2020, the houseboat is located at Nokken lock, with views up through the harbour and the spires and towers of Copenhagen’s most prominent historical landmarks. The floating home is inspired by Japanese design with a grey aluminium shell, slatted timber decking on the outside, and serene all-white interiors punctuated by wood and natural materials offering a sanctuary-like feel.

Its 100 sq m floor plan features a large living room at the front, with sliding glass doors to the terrace. In the centre of the boat is a large ‘cube’ that contains utilities and the bathroom, with the dining area and galley kitchen unravelling around the perimeter.

A bedroom and a smaller room, currently used as a nursery, are at the back of the plan. Each space is outfitted with custom storage to maximise the square footage.

Eva is part of the Slusens Bådbyggeri shipyard community, comprising small creative companies, a large joinery workshop, a cafe and five houseboats. According to listing agent Laura Langhoff of Adam Schnack, the Copenhagen property has a good lease/mooring term of 20 years, in line with the yard contract, with more information on inquiry.
