Hotels could be popping up in remote locations across the globe if In-Tenta Design has its way. The Barcelona practice has designed a transportable prefab hotel suite that can be dropped into any location.

The modular cabins range is dubbed ‘DROP Box’, and is available in three sizes. Each is manufactured off-site and can be assembled without the need for foundations, minimising the impact on the environment.

The hotel rooms sleep anywhere from two to four people, depending on size, and are made with sustainably sourced wood. Units can be customised with timber or cement and wood particle composite cladding, and feature raw, blonde timber interiors.

Large picture windows frame landscape views, while some DROP Box micro-modules can be outfitted with a full kitchen, bathroom and deck.
