Midcentury ‘treehouse’ home in Los Angeles asks $1.795m

Part cabin, part greenhouse, this 1960s Los Angeles property by local architect Bill Mack, AIA, channels the city’s bohemian past.

Mack is believed to have designed the Beverly Glen Canyon home circa 1961, taking inspiration from an elaborate treehouse. Remarkably well-preserved, the three-bedroom, two-bath home has been on the market just twice in the last 65 years.

Its 2,185-sq-ft interiors are wrapped in rich wood panelling. The main living room evokes a Lake Tahoe A-frame cabin with its pitched timber ceiling, rugged brick fireplace, and built-in shelving. The kitchen is outfitted with vintage red zellige tiles and original hardwood cabinetry, while the sunroom features a full wall of windows overlooking the canyon’s wild terrain.

Sam Arneson of Compass is listing 10412 Hebron Lane for $1.795m. Take a closer look.
