Set between Ostuni’s whitewashed old town and the Adriatic coastline, Masseria D is a 250sqm historic oil mill reimagined by TRRA Studio as a refined countryside retreat. Priced upon request, the two-level property sits on 4.3 hectares of olive groves populated by centuries-old trees, offering privacy and sweeping views across the landscapes of Puglia.

Architecture reflects the region’s agricultural past, with vaulted ceilings, stone niches and thick masonry walls. These have been sensitively restored and paired with contemporary detailing that brings light and balance to the interiors. The layout includes three independent bedroom suites, four bathrooms, and a custom-built kitchen adjoining a dining room designed for gathering.

Below the main residence, a 180sqm ipogeo — the original underground olive press — has been preserved as a versatile space with independent access, water and electricity. Its raw stone structure invites reinterpretation as a wine cellar or spa.

Extending the living spaces into the surrounding grove are terraces, a pool and a shaded pergola that frames the landscape. A building permit for an additional 54sqm allows for further expansion, offering scope to personalise one of Puglia’s most atmospheric architectural conversions.
