Via Lumicene

The Lumi Pod is a prefab hut with 180-degree glass walls that slide back to let the outside in.

The majority of the floor space in the curved cabin is dedicated to the bedroom, where guests are surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows (don’t worry, there’s also blackout curtains for those that like to sleep in).

Room in the hut is limited but the designer – carpentry company Lumicene – has also squeezed in a tiny closet, as well as a toilet and shower at the rear of the cabin.

Lumi Pod is delivered as a set of prefab modules which are bolted together and can be customised with wood or metal skin and a choice of several roofs, depending on the environment.

It takes between two and four months for one of the huts to be built in Lumicene’s Lyon workshop, but the cabins take only two days to assemble on site. Price is on application.
