Artist Rogan Gregory designed — then listed — his own Malibu home

A recent renovation introduced Zellige tiles, bronze hardware and bespoke fittings

At the end of a cul-de-sac within Malibu’s Point Dume Club, this four-bedroom house was shaped through the involvement of artist Rogan Gregory, whose custom fixtures and hardware are integrated throughout the interior. The house is positioned for views across the Pacific towards First Point and the Santa Monica Mountains, with living spaces opening directly onto two elevated decks.

Spanning more than 2,000 square feet, the house was recently renovated, introducing Zellige tile, bronze hardware and a series of bespoke elements designed specifically for the space. These are not applied details but built components, embedded into the structure alongside timber and ceramic surfaces.

The plan separates shared and private areas. A dedicated office sits alongside the main living space, while bedrooms are set apart. Openings connect the interiors to the decks, bringing light and air through the house.

Outside, planted terraces, a hot tub, sauna and outdoor shower sit within the footprint of the site. The house reads as both a residence and a setting for Gregory’s work, with objects and architecture developed together. The property is listed by Jenna Cooper.
