Built in 1930, Can Jordi stands beside the village square in Sa Cabaneta, a small town in Marratxí, Mallorca. The three-storey house retains exposed timber beams, stone walls and handmade floor tiles, with rooms arranged around a central patio at its centre.

Spanning 384 square metres, the house has three bedrooms and three bathrooms distributed across a layout shaped by decades of occupation. Thick masonry walls, timber structure and traditional finishes remain throughout.
The project forms part of designer Kalypso Projects‘ wider approach to restoring historic Mallorcan buildings, focusing on preserving traditional craftsmanship while adapting homes for contemporary living. It is being offered alongside a renovation proposal by the local design practice, whose plans seek to update the house while retaining its defining character. Proposed interventions include reconfigured living spaces, restored architectural details and a new courtyard swimming pool enclosed by warm-toned rendered walls.
The central patio, enclosed by the surrounding rooms, forms a private outdoor space at the centre of the house. Located a short walk from local shops and cafés, Can Jordi remains closely tied to the village around it.
