Frankfurt home with Japanese vibes asks for €2.39m

Serene and simple

East meets west at this renovated Frankfurt property which has been artfully updated in a Japanese bent.

Located in the city’s Westend district inside an apartment building dating from 1900, the 200 sq m residence has undergone a sweeping renovation that takes its turn-of-the-century proportions and adds subtle Japandi flare.

A Japanese tea room has been installed inside the Frankfurt home – for sale via Fantastic Frank for €2.39m – complete with tatami mats and shoji screens that bathe the white-washed interior in a diffused, milky light. This sense of serenity seeps into the rest of the Arndstrasse home, too, via a soft and neutral colour palette and an adherence to natural materials.

Blonde parquet floors run underfoot while period mouldings swoop around the tops of its towering walls. Bespoke cabinetry injects sage and mint green accents in the hallway and lounge. Meanwhile, the kitchen offers the best in German domestic engineering, courtesy of Bulthaup, while the all-white stone bathrooms are by Boffi.
