Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired Atlanta home hits the market for $1.41 million

Blocks of granite and glazing form the structure of this 1961 midcentury US home – set on a wooded plot in Georgia’s Atlanta.

Frameless windows flank the Ken Johnson-designed modernist property’s front door and sit between its walls and flat roof, which has the dual effect of opening up the building and making the scenery part of its design.

On sale for $1.41m via Berkshire Hathaway, the three-bedroom Atlanta home takes its cues from Frank Lloyd Wright’s ethos of bringing nature indoors.

The midcentury house puts a twist on the cabin-in-the-woods look, with its mix of functional, flowing layout, full-length glazing, curved pool, open fireplaces and rugged stone and timber detailing.
