A Marylebone pub is now a minimalist jewellery store for Completedworks

London jewellery and ceramics brand Completedworks has a new soft minimalist headquarter – but the building has a surprising past. It was once a popular London boozer.

Local designer Hollie Bowden crafted the serene store, overhauling two floors of a former pub to create a light-filled studio, showroom and workshop for the ceramics and jewellery brand. Compledworks experienced stratospheric growth in 2021 by nearly doubling its sales and needed a space that would reflect the values of the reductionist principles of the brand and its wares, which celebrate a ‘less is more’ mentality.

Bowden’s interiors pick up this mantle with her soft and tactile minimalist interventions, which imbues the space with light from a new glass ceiling and textures via plastered brickwork. More ‘austere’ elements can be found via the industrial staircase and steel ceramic display shelves,  anchored to the floor and ceiling by central mounts – a playful juxtaposition of materials and forms.
