Assassins Creed Syndicate London

Video game Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is going back in time to 1868, allowing players to explore London during the Industrial Revolution.

Its latest trailer, titled ‘London Horizon’, takes us on a tour of the city’s landmarks in Victorian times – when Covent Garden still had a bustling vegetable market and boxing fights took place atop a King’s Cross gasholder.

The game has even recreated buildings that are no longer around, including the Whitechapel Sawmill and Lambeth Asylum.

All the famous London landmarks are there too, from Big Ben and St Paul’s Cathedral to Buckingham Palace and Nelson’s Column – viewed through thick plumes of smoke rising from the countless factory chimneys.

This portal to 19th-century London opens when the game is released on 23 October for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
