You get 12 courtyard units for one with this Lisbon listing

All dozen are being sold together for €4.3 million

Hidden behind a restored 19th-century façade in Lisbon’s Anjos district, Pátio do Mercador reinterprets the city’s traditional villa housing typology as a cluster of homes arranged around a shared courtyard.

Completed in 2023, the project was developed by Future Architecture Thinking in collaboration with Studio Cavalcanti. Seven buildings are grouped around a central open-air courtyard, creating a sheltered enclave within walking distance of Graça, Intendente and Avenida da Liberdade in central Lisbon.

The compound contains 12 self-contained dwellings spread across 812 square metres. Studios, apartments and duplex houses are accessed independently and vary in layout, with vaulted ceilings, mezzanine levels, skylights and private patios appearing throughout.

A restrained palette of oak, microcement and stone runs across the interiors. Oak shelving and cabinetry, composite flooring and Dekton worktops have been used throughout, while large glazed openings bring daylight deep into the rooms and open living spaces onto the courtyard. Several units have their own outdoor areas, while others look across the rooftops of the surrounding neighbourhood. Storage and service spaces are integrated into the compound, supporting its day-to-day operation.

Anjos has become one of Lisbon’s most active neighbourhoods in recent years, with independent cafés, restaurants, shops and cultural venues sitting alongside long-established residential streets. The entire cluster of buildings is listed for €4.3 million with Fantastic Frank Lisbon.
