The dramatic East Village space that once housed the women-only coworking club, The Wing, has hit the market for $22.5m, and the price can be negotiated to include all its furnishings.

Potential buyers can move straight into the three-storey building, which underwent an extensive renovation before opening as The Wing’s headquarters in 2016. The coworking business – which closed all of its locations suddenly in August 2022 – retained much of the former hospital’s historic features, including tiled floors and iron bannisters.

The realtor listing suggests these all remain intact, with the property described as a ‘state of the art, turnkey, elevator commercial building’. It offers huge amounts of space, with three storeys and a basement adding up to more than 15,000 sq ft.

The potential for development is significant as well, with its flexible zoning meaning it can be used for residential, commercial, mixed-use, recreational or community purposes. Cushman & Wakefield has the commercial listing.
