Dating back to the years before Hollywood’s early studio era, this Mediterranean-style mansion is ready for another closeup. Angelina Jolie is selling the 113-year-old Los Feliz estate, set within the gated Laughlin Park enclave. The 2.1-acre compound combines two early Hollywood residences assembled during filmmaker Cecil B DeMille’s ownership in the 1920s. Jolie acquired the estate in 2017 and has rarely opened it to public view. She recently put it up for sale for $29.85 million.

Designed by architect B Cooper Corbett in 1913, the estate was acquired by DeMille in 1916 before its expansion into the neighbouring Dodd residence — itself once occupied by Charlie Chaplin. The two houses, it is believed, were later linked by a glazed corridor attributed to Julia Morgan.
At the highest point of the site sits the 11,000sqft Beaux Arts mansion, overlooking lawns, terraces and a swimming pool framed by mature trees. Additional buildings include a guest house, tea house, pool house, fitness studio and a detached garage with a security station.
