American architect Rick Joy puts a modern spin on rural Vermont’s gabled forms with his award-winning Woodstock farm – now on the market for $9.75m.

The sprawling 200-acre countryside idyll scooped the 2010 title of Architectural Record’s ‘House of the Year’ for its sleek, simple gabled volumes, built with materials typical to the area. A 3,890 sq ft shingle and silvery stone house has glazed panes that wrap across the wall and ceiling, flooding the interior with light.
