Wes Anderson fans can live large at this Manhattan mansion which he used as the setting for his 2001 cult classic, The Royal Tenenbaums.

The Flemish Revival-style property dates from 1899 and is located in Harlem’s Hamilton Heights neighbourhood. Its redbrick structure boasts a castle-like turret and stained glass windows across its 100-ft-wide facade, while interiors have parquet flooring, period woodwork, original fireplaces and moulding.

The six-bedroom property is available to rent from $20,000 per month via Spencer Means and Paolo Sciarra of Compass.

While it has been renovated since Anderson filmed his family drama there’s still plenty to excite long-time fans of the director’s quirky aesthetic style. There’s also plenty of space too – 6,000 sq ft of it, which includes two living rooms and two kitchens.
