President Barack Obama and his family spent their summers at this Martha’s Vineyard sanctuary, which is about to hit the market for $39m.

Blue Heron Farm is located in Chilmark, Massachusetts, and spans 30 acres. The Obamas rented the bucolic vineyard property from 2009 through 2011, after which it was bought by Wembley Stadium starchitect Sir Norman Foster.

At its heart is a postcard-worthy, 7,000 sq ft white-washed clapboard home, complete with bright, white-washed interiors and a wraparound porch. The Fosters renovated Blue Heron Farm significantly, adding a pool and pool house and planting new trees on its leafy grounds.

Surrounding the home are a Cape-style guesthouse, a boathouse, and a 150-year-old Pennsylvania barn (which was transported and rebuilt on site). There’s no shortage of entertainment options either, with a riding ring, tennis courts, orchards, gardens, and basketball courts.

The sale is being brokered by Maggie Gold Seelig of MSG Real Estate, according to WSJ and Elle Decor, which first reported on the news.
