Take a spectral tour of Gio Ponti’s Villa l’Ange Volant

Walls disappear and furniture has ghostly silhouettes in the digital film of Laurent Grasso exploring the architectural spirit of Gio Ponti’s Villa Ange Vilant.

The film is dubbed Spectral Ponti and is made from novel imagery stitched together like a video game to distort and suspend notions of time and materiality. The French artist was specially commissioned to create the film for the Genius Loci exhibition, curated by Marion Vignal, with the piece produced by Diorama. It serves as a digital counterpoint to the physical installations currently in situ at the villa (Ponti’s only French building.)

Viewers can take a bird-eye journey through – walls and all – online until 24th October 2021. Scan the QR code below.
