Peek inside Soho House Mumbai — its first Asia outpost

Rajasthani design fuses with Art Deco touches inside Soho House Mumbai – the private members club’s first Asia outpost.

The 38-room hotel and clubhouse sits in the heart of Mumbai’s entertainment district, inside an 11-storey building on Juhu Beach, facing the Arabian Sea. And though some of its features are familiar – including a 150-cover Cecconi’s restaurant on the ground floor – the Mumbai townhouse has a distinctly Indian bent.

Indian antiques and curio adorn rooms decked in colourful block printed fabrics from Rajasthan, as well as cane furniture and Indian cement tiles. Meanwhile, Japiur green marble and rattan panelling have been used in the restaurant alongside herringbone tiling, and velvet and leather upholstered chairs.

Guests can enjoy the sea-facing gym as well as the signature rooftop pool, cinema and library, and 200 artworks. Around 80% are by South East Asian artists, such as Subodh Gupta Bharti Kher, Thukral and Tagra.
