Pay €7 million for an estate designed by a Gaudí protégé

The main house was designed in art nouveau style, with mosaic floors and stained glass

A forested Catalan estate with an olive grove, winery and refurbished art nouveau farmhouse is on the market for €6.95m. Less than an hour north of Barcelona, the property has been listed by Fantastic Frank.

The 158-hectare estate supports three buildings, including the main house, built in 1912 by Gaudí disciple Batllevell with a distinctive stone gable and brick vestibule.

Designed with high ceilings and local materials, the 1,900sqm house retains its original character, including tilework and stained-glass windows featuring traditional motifs. The combined sleeping area accommodates 14 people, with 13 bathrooms.

Castellar del Vallès is located near Sant Llorenç del Munt i l’Obac natural park, with its oak, hazel and Aleppo pine forest. The property itself is furnished with a chapel, pool, vineyard and 5,810sqm of olive trees.
