This blacksmith’s workshop turned home in Stockholm is 90 sq m of cool Scandi minimalism – just what you’d expect from the founder of furniture brand Hem, Petrus Palmér.

The house was fully renovated in 2015 by architecture firm Förstberg Ling, which installed Douglas fir beams, polished concrete flooring, forest-green kitchen fittings and Carrara marble tiles.

Natural light floods into the three-bedroom Stockholm property – listed with agent Lotta Leuckfeld at Per Jansson for 11.95m SEK – thanks to its large windows and bank of skylights. A mezzanine level is kitted out with custom bookshelves, as well as a tiny study area, tucked into a corner nook.

As you’d expect, Palmér has filled the minimalist interiors with contemporary furniture and fittings by Hem, including its Alphabeta lamps. But the minimalist backdrop of pale wood and concrete offers a blank canvas for future owners keen to make it their own.
