Who said barns had to be rustic?
This Modernist structure in Lyme, Connecticut – eschewing architectural stereotypes – is on the market for $1.1 million.
Designed by Beinfield Wagner Architects, the 3,736 sq ft property draws on the work of Richard Meier. It features a soaring double-height ceiling in the living room and a huge marble hearth fireplace.
Besides the floors, wood has been foregone inside the three-bedroom property in favour of crisp white walls and extensive glazing, which offers views over the property’s surrounding 7.69 acres of meadows.
