Sartoria offers a contemporary take on Europe’s vaulted taverns, serving fresh pasta inside a glowing concrete tunnel in Mexico City’s Roma Norte neighbourhood.

Local studio Taller ADG designed the restaurant’s interiors, mixing Brutalist austerity with more traditional timber elements.

The centrepiece of Sartoria is its cellar-style dining space, which sits beneath an arched roof clad in concrete boards. It’s contrasted by oak furniture, strips of glowing light, and views of the abundant greenery planted out front.

Elsewhere, wooden bar stools and black-and-white marble tabletops recall the atmosphere of classic Italian trattorias. Sartoria’s menu is made using seasonal and local produce, and brings together Italian and Mexican flavours, focusing on fresh pasta.
