A raw signwriter’s workshop is headed for auction in Sydney

With industrial features and over 2,500 sq ft of space

A vast pre-converted warehouse in the Sydney suburb of Leichhardt is set to go under the hammer next month with a guide price of AUD $2m.

The signwriter’s workshop comes with DA-approved plans to turn it into a three-bedroom home and is being auctioned via BresicWhitney on 2 March.

The Syndey property is set across two levels and its pitched roof is fitted with skylights that channel light into the interiors. Industrial features include concrete floors, exposed steel beams and double-height roller doors that open directly onto the street.

Two bedrooms have been set on the lower level as well as an open-plan kitchen and seating area, while the master suite is on the mezzanine level above. There’s also plenty of room to set up a live/work studio space within the premises.

Leichhardt is the heart of Sydney’s Italian community and 26 Mackenzie Street is walking distance to cafes and restaurants.
