The appeal of Los Angeles’ Silver Lake neighbourhood cannot be overstated. And this 1969 compound, formerly home to Canadian music producer Frank Dukes, aka Ging, occupies one of the most desirable corners.

Shrouded by protective olive trees,  just steps from the reservoir, the six-bedroom Silverlake pad was designed by pioneering Asian-American architect Hai C. Tan for prominent businessman Jack Lee, who would later commission Tan to design his Mandarin Plaza development in LA’s Chinatown district in 1972.

And Ging (real name Adam King Feeney) has left his own mark, too.
