Folie restaurant brings a touch of French Riviera glamour to London’s Soho

Sun-kissed interiors

The opulently appointed French restaurant Folie has thrown open its doors on London’s Golden Square, bringing a dose of 1970s glamour to Soho.

Restaurateur Guillaume Depoix tapped Studio KO to design its interiors, channelling Riviera vibes via leather banquette seating and a sun-kissed colour palette contrasted by rich navy blue seating.

Mirrored tables edged by gold, and a gilded bar complete the look, with bespoke lighting hanging from sunken circular light wells, and a geometric and colourful terrazzo floor.

Vanity Fair’s art director Yorgo Tloupas created the typography for the London restaurant, which serves Mediterranean-inspired dishes devised by chef Christophe Marleix – made with fresh British produce and fish.
