Live/work loft in a converted metalworks near Paris lists for €2.2m

This adaptable space in a former Paris metalworks factory could be a studio, gallery, home or all of the above.

Dating back to the 1970s, the converted factory sits in the city’s Saint Germain-en-Laye area and has been converted into apartments and units. This particular unit is currently used for commercial purposes as a gallery showroom and office, and is on the market via Espaces Atypiques for €2.2m.

The 440 sq m live/work loft is set over two levels, and has been configured to preserve its original metal frame and steel beams. On the lower level is the vast 250 sqm showroom or living room, complete with resin concrete floor and a soaring central atrium, which draws light into the space.

A concrete staircase leads up to three large offices, filled with light thanks to the glass roof. Here, three rooms are partitioned by steel-framed windows, and could be used as bedrooms or studio space. They peek onto the living room below, and have wooden floors throughout.

The Paris property is being touted for commercial use as an art gallery, or as a home for a collector, but sadly the Mini isn’t included in the sale.
